As a mother, wife, and grandmother, my greatest joy in life has been caring for my family. I was born and raised in the heart of New York City. I have long been a strong advocate for the aging population. It has always been my dream to serve my community and to make a difference in the lives of the people that have inspired me to become the woman that I am today.

But like many of you, I share the same concerns when it comes to long-term care for our aging family members. But according to a report, the reality is that there are now more residents ages 65 and older in New York State (3.2 million) than the entire population of the 21 states.

Today, nearly one in six New Yorkers is 65 and above. And like you, my family members and I have agonized over how to best provide effective long-term care services to our parents as they reach their golden years.

But for many families, moving on can be very difficult when they leave their loved ones behind. Unfortunately, this is an issue that resonates with me as well. My mom is 85 years young. In my case, I got married and decided to move outside of the country to start a family of my own.

I remembered how emotionally difficult it was for me and my husband every day, having a nagging feeling of not knowing how our parents were dealing with the prospect of not having us around. It became clear to me on how I could honor the women who has impacted every aspect of my life.

This is how Perfect Choice Senior Care was born. That is why I am committed to preserving their dignity, respect, and independence, the same kind of treatment I would expect for my own loved ones.

As a former caregiver, and the daughter of a recipient of these types of services, I understand firsthand how vitally important it is to have someone willing to give the same comparable love, compassion, and tenderness as if you needed it for your loved ones.

The media reminds us every day about business opportunities in this ever-growing healthcare space. For investors and new entrepreneurs, the launch of new companies in the home care space represents a promising early stage start-up tapping into pent-up demand and looking at an impressive potential for growth.

But for me, it's a continued quest to serve my community and honor my elders in a way that defies the conventional narrative. I didn't start Perfect Choice Senior Care to pay the bills; I made the conscious decision to open my own health care agency to warm the heart and to make a difference.

For me, it's not about making radical changes in an industry where politics reign supreme. I also want to thank you for allowing me to share my story with you.
